Just Notes Support
Just Notes is a menu-bar scratchpad for macOS 14 and later. Click its rounded-square N icon in the menu bar or press Control–Option–N to show it.
Common questions
- Where are my notes?
- Choose Settings > Data > Reveal Data Folder. Quit Just Notes before making a manual backup so SQLite write-ahead logs are included.
- How do I restore the lifetime unlock?
- Open Settings, choose Upgrade, then choose Restore Purchases. Use the same App Store account that made the purchase.
- Does the free tier expire?
- No. Pad 1 and its local editing, autosave, recovery, formatting, images, find, statistics, import, and current-pad export remain available.
- How do I enable iCloud?
- After unlocking, open Settings > Data and turn on Sync with iCloud. Sync is always opt-in.
- What happens after a refund?
- Premium features lock, but Just Notes keeps existing pad data. Settings > Data offers Safety Export All Data whenever locked pads contain data.
